In the Foulies game it was a battle of the sisters! Laura Schmitt of the Foulies and Sarah Schmitt of Kick A$$ were cat fighting the whole time. We had to call the cops to break them up. It was mayhem!!!!!
Rare photo of them actually getting along on the same team.
OK, all that crap is totally untrue, I just wanted to start some drama. ;) Both these ladies are kickball talented, dude! They are an asset to any team they are a part of. The Schmitt sisters ROCK!!
The Joe Preseault in his natural environment
Kick A$$'s defense was too much for the Foulies, giving them a shut out game. Karen "Silent Killer" Savell struck again at 2nd base where she caught a ball at full run with arms extended for a "Jerry Rice-like catch"-(Manny Anderson) to shut down the middle of the field. Boom Shaka laka! ;)
Last weeks game was crazy! It was absolute mayhem! It was a frickin monsoon in the 6:30 game slot and all of Kick A$$ and 5 Toe Death Kick took it like champs and hung in there to play. (Yes, all of the above is true this time.) Anything can happen in a game with a wet ball, and bodies were sliding, baby! Especially Mike Mallozzi of 5TDK. That guy was all over the place diving for balls and hustling his butt off. It was fun to watch! I felt sorry for the 1st basemen for both teams getting water, grass, and mud facials every time they caught a throw. Apparently you'll do anything for kickball. Because....KICKBALL!!! Most everyone of KA got on base and scored and the defense held them to 1 run for a 12-1 win. No paparazzi were out there because they didn't want to get their precious cameras wet. Sissies....
Now for the not-so-good news. Our co-captain and top of the line up cool dude Manny Anderson is on season ending IR. He tore his cruciate and meniscus in 2 places in his right knee. Rumor has it that he Whipped when he should have Nae Nae'd and blew it all to hell. OK, in all seriousness he had surgery on it a few days ago and is starting physical therapy today. Everybody please wish him well and hopefully he'll be baack in the spring for some more kickball action. Heal up fast, Manny! We already miss you!
Manny and Danger posing with the belt
More not-so-good news: Dom Guarry's work has taken him to Seattle, Washington for the next 7 weeks, and last week's monsoon game was his last for the season. Gonna miss that little guy!
We've lost 2 players in as many weeks and they will be missed! Hopefully no one else will be dropping off the roster. We still feel confident going into the final 2 weeks of the season. Let's Kick A$$!!!!!
Why do we do this?!?!
JUST FOR KICK A$$!!!!!!!!
PS: Yes, Danger is back!!!!! Our KA mascot made an appearance a few weeks ago with Manny and the belt, but Danger stayed home last week. No one likes the smell of 'wet dog'
