Pitcher - Geoff Morehart (WAKA'm To The Jungle)

Geoff hurls rockets from the mound, throws himself
fearlessly through bases (or at least used to :~/ ), and scrapes the ozone with
his kicks. But he also bunts with touch
and finesse… and he only made second team?!
Right off the bat (err... foot?) this shows you how abundant the talent is in this
league.
Catcher - Curtis Faubion (Don't Come On My Base)
Curtis is best known for launching himself head first for a
two hand scoop and throw to get anyone and everyone out. But put him anywhere in the lineup in any
situation and good things will happen.
Charger - Dominique Smith (Plan B)
What more is there really to say about Dominique that he
hasn’t already said about himself? A
perpetual hype man and comedian, his game matches his talk.
First Baseman - Nick Anderson (WAKA'm To The Jungle)
With some insanely powerful arms on the ballot for first
basemen, Nick may have the strongest of them all. Some of the best players in this league have
tested him and been gunned down.
Outfielder - John LaNeave (Plan B)
Accuracy and precision define both John’s kicking and
bunting. Leave too much open space
anywhere on the field and he will exploit it no matter who’s pitching.
Outfielder - Brian Yohn (Rumspringa)
Balancing out the Second Team outfield, power is the name of Brian’s
game. Clearly, lifting heavy weights
alongside the VA Peninsula commish is the key to kicking farther, running
faster, and throwing harder.
Utility - Brad Kirby (Cardiac Arrest)
The difference between First Team and Second Team Jungle Gym
Conference Utility was closer than any other position in either
conference. If one vote had been
different, Brad would have been First Team.
Regardless, Brad is likely the most dangerous offensive weapon in the entire
league with elite power, accuracy, precision, and touch. On defense, he would be the starting charger
on more teams than not... as long as he's healthy.
Female - Jamie La Crosse (Don't Come On My Base)
If only the rules allowed defenses to shift a player to
stand half way down the third base line, cuz that's where the ball is going
every time Jamie comes up trying to bunt on.
Female - Katie Wellbrock (Rumspringa)
Consistency at all things kickball. Don't kick to her. Don't play shallow. Don't take a play off. Even then, Katie will find a way to beat you.
Female - Bailey Riley (Rumspringa)
Bailey is the epitome of toughness and fearlessness. Even though she seems to play the game with
reckless abandon, she gets the job done with her underlying talent.
Female - Sarah Schmitt (Plan B)
Sarah's kicking power was second to no other female this
past season. "Back! BACK!
BAAAACK!!!... Shit..." is all you'd hear from the defense each time
Sarah made contact.
Are you on the edge of your seat yet? Who were the best of the best this past season as determined by their peers? Stay tuned for the final installment of the Spring 2016 WAKA VA Peninsula season All-Peninsula results. Same bat channel, different bat time.
