Spring 2016 WAKA VA Peninsula Tortolini Realty Conference First Team

Pitcher - Christopher Storar (Chaotic Kilfs)

Christopher has the arm strength to charge and the athleticism to catch which makes him one of the best defensive pitchers in the league.  Add in his offensive prowess and it’s clear why the voters selected him as the best pitcher in the Tortolini Realty Conference.

Catcher - Jeremy Smithey (Hotdogs and Tacos)
Jeremy was a major factor toward the league’s success this past season.  Not only was he one of the captains which requires an immense amount of time and patience, he was one of our outstanding permanent refs as well as one of the hosts of the 3 Up 3 Down podcast.  After succeeding at each of these thankless jobs, he has earned the recognition of his peers who have voted him to the Tortolini Realty Conference First Team.

Charger - CJ Smith (Chaotic Kilfs)
Only a few seasons into his career, CJ has quickly emerged as one of the best chargers in the entire league.  Leading his team to be champions of the Tortolini Realty Conference Tournament, it was no wonder that he had more first place votes than any other male in the All-Peninsula Tortolini Realty Conference voting.

First Baseman - Michael Ottman (Hotdogs and Tacos)
Hotdogs and Tacos couldn’t have finished the regular season undefeated without several talented players.  Michael was one of three Hotdogs accompanying one Taco on the Tortolini Realty Conference First Team.  His performances on offense, defense, and the social game shined through earning him Tortolini Realty Conference First Team honors.

Outfielder - Michael Kern (Hotdogs and Tacos)
The smooth lefty co-captain of Hotdogs and Tacos cannot be underestimated on the field or he will make you pay.  He will also stare down all challengers as a head ref and then drink them under the table.

Outfielder - TJ Bowman (Chaotic Kilfs)
TJ joins three other Chaotic Kilfs on the Tortolini Realty Conference First Team matching Hotdogs and Tacos with the most representatives.  One of the nicest guys off the field, he will make you pay for your indiscretions on it.

Utility - Keith Morehart (Bad News B E E R S)
Taking on the challenge of captaining a team of mostly rookies, Keith unselfishly placed his teammates anywhere and everywhere only allowing himself to fill in as needed.  But countering any variability with defensive positioning is Keith’s ability to consistently kick bombs on offense.

Female - Noelle Walsh (Foul Balls)
With more first place votes than anyone else in the Tortolini Realty Conference, male or female, it’s clear that Noelle’s stellar ability and leadership is known throughout the league.

Female - Diane Griffin (Chaotic Kilfs)
Diane has been steadily improving her game on the field each season she has played in an attempt to catch up to her top notch social prowess.  The voters have recognized her combined talents this season honoring her with a spot on the Tortolini Realty Conference First Team.

Female - Erin Small (Foul Balls)
The ladies carried the torch for Foul Balls this season claiming two spots on the Tortolini Realty Conference First Team.  Erin showed the boys how it’s done throughout the season.  It’s evident that her next step is world domination.

Female - Elizabeth Snyder (Hotdogs and Tacos)
Elizabeth has quickly proven that she may be the most dangerous line drive kicker in the Tortolini Realty Conference so it was no doubt she would make an appearance on this list.

Next up, we delve into the results of the nearly impossible task of deciding how to rank the immense talent within the Jungle Gym Conference.
