Hey Patriots,
Curtis and I reviewed the schedule and made some adjustments to ensure the two 8:30 games from last week are made up. In order to fit those two games in, we had to completely rearrange the August 1st and August 8th games. Please check the schedule for the updates. If you've previously printed out or saved to a calendar, you will need to update because game times and reffing assignments have been impacted.
Tomorrow night should be very nice. We're looking at an 85 degree clear sunny day according to weather.com. Perfect for kickball! We have a great slate of games on the schedule too.
Curtis has real-life work obligations tomorrow night, so I will be standing in for him. If you all need anything, please don't hesitate to find me. I'm on Juicy Juice (maroon).
Now some other housekeeping items...
ALCOHOL: Again, another reminder, do NOT bring outside alcohol to the fields. War Memorial Stadium has an ABC license and we can not put that at risk. Just as importantly, we can not put our future ability to rent WMS at risk. All beer must be purchased through the tiki bar. I really do not want to play bad cop, but if you are found with outside alcohol, you may be asked to leave.
POSTGAMES - TAPPS: We had a great turnout at Tapps for week 1. Let's make it even better this week! $2.50 Rolling Rocks, 50% off cider, select craft beers, and apps, plus they've been also offering $1 house beers(!). It's also bar games friendly, so I'd love to see some flip cup or beer pong going down. Perhaps I could even be persuaded to join... hmmm.
FALL LEAGUE PRICE BUMPS: Just a reminder: we multiple fall kickball and other sports open for registration now, including Wednesday night at War Memorial. The price for every league goes up by at least $5 on August 1st, so be sure to sign up this month to save some beer money. I don't want the extra money. I want you signed up early! It helps us to forecast and plan better for the season if we have people locked in early. kickball.com/hamptonroads.
