Week 1 Recap
I want to once again say sorry for not being there this previous Friday I was a little busy preparing myself to die on the mountains of West Virginia. So first I would like a big shout out the Brent Wentworth for running things in my absence and anyone else that was able to help him!

-I see spoiler had a lot of shout outs from Brent. Seems like they have a strong team forming yet again this season could they finish 2nd place in the league again this season? We will find out.
-Shout out to Noctor and Doolittle for helping with some reffing assignments.
-Shout out to Matt Crawford and his dog!
-Also a shout out to all the 8:30 games???
Next week make sure you let us know what happened or take a video and show us so we can highlight all the great things on the field!
Bar
I heard it was an amazing turn out at the bar and thank you everyone for taking part in the Social challenges! I loved getting to see all the pictures. I will be adding up scores and announcing who is in the lead as well as this week challenges so you can prepare.
Let's High light a few cool things that happened at the bar.
-We had a Birthday!
-There was also some karaoke done, make sure you are ready for the weeks that'll win you some serious points! But bonus to Amelia for being the first.
-also, look at this awesome group who made it to the AMP!
Rule of the Week
Every week I'll be highlighting a rule so this week we will discuss:
3. REFEREES
3.01 Games must be officiated by at least one authorized official, the Head Referee. When available, at least two
officials referee each game: a Head Referee, and a First Base Referee. The Head Referee governs all game play
and issues all final rulings, and has final authority on equipment issues. Other Referees may assist these officials
when available.
3.02 Prior to each game, the Head Referee must conduct a meeting with the Captains of each team, to address
any ground rules in effect, to ensure the exchange of team lineups (see Rule 4.01), and to identify the designated
Captains who will be authorized to discuss calls with the Referees during the game (see Rule 5.03).
3.03 Referees have jurisdiction over play and may:
a. call a time out;
b. call off a game due to darkness, rain or other cause at the Referee's discretion;
c. penalize a player, including game ejection, for any reason. This includes but is not limited to un-sportsman like
conduct, fighting, delay of game
-I know I know it is more then one rule but I just want to make things clear. We do require teams to have AT LEAST 2 refs. I know its more but that is how we run in this league. Otherwise your team will have a paper forfeit.
-ALSO, ONLY captains discuss with the refs please.
-Remember that refs are people too and you may not like a call but please be respectful, no one wants to hear about a call you think was bad on the sideline. That is the reason no one will ref and then if that happens we can't play games. so spread the love. Extra points to teams showing ref love each week!

REMINDER: there are no games this week due to labor day weekend. We will continue games on Friday September 7th! See you all there!
