Hampton Winter Kickball - Week 7 Recap

It's Tuesday. My fingers finally unthawed from the weekend. Now I'm ready to type.

PURPLE NURPLES 9, FETCH 0

Kept warm by Fireball and Strawberry-Lemonade flavored Natural Light, Purple came out with an offensive onslaught that Fetch was unable to contain. There were some highlights in defeat though. 3B Margaret Rigg made a great snag on a hard line drive kicked by Brent Obershaw. Without a doubt, one of the plays of the week.

UNSUPERVISED 8, TBD 1

Another play of the week was this tandem catch in the Unsupervised vs TBD match. JaNae Ormond and Anthony Pinto teamed up to rob Randall Hammond of an extra-base hit to right field. TBD didn't quite have enough of these highlights in the tank however, as they fell by 7 runs to the top-ranked Unsupes.

For the most part, the playoff seeding is set. Barring any double forfeits, each of the teams is pretty locked into their spot. The focus for the teams this week will be on having fun and building momentum going into the tournament on the 23rd.
