My name is Troy Carter and I am the Community Coordinator a.k.a commissioner for this season. It's a GREAT turnout and I couldn't be happier. We effectively doubled the amount of teams and players from last Winter.. That couldn't have happened without each and every one of you - to that, I give a sincere THANK YOU. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to reach out me on game day on the fields, post game at the bar, or when you get home at tcarter@clubwaka.com
SCHEDULE
Please click here (it'll open in a new window) to view the schedule. It has who each team is playing weekly as well as which teams are assigned reffing duties *more on this later
- Time slots will be played at 12 noon and 1pm (or 2pm if needed)
- Week 8 will be a 'balance week'. If not needed for makeups, regular season games will be scheduled based on current standings; i.e. 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, etc.
- March 21st will be the playoffs
- If there is inclement weather and we need to cancel games, the announcement(s) will be communicated through e-mail and Facebook as soon as a decision is made. If you have not received any notification, please assume that we are on.
Each game will be scheduled for 7 innings or no new inning after the 50 minute mark. When reffing, please be mindful of the time. Any inning that was started prior to the 50 minute mark should be completed in its entirety if it rolls past the time, unless the home team is winning and has the lead.
* Grace period for the 12pm game is 15 minutes and all other games there is a 5 minute grace period.

KICKOFF PARTY!!
Immediately

Grill & Smokehouse for all Clubwaka members who are registered for
ANY Winter or Spring sport. Please visit the Facebook Event Page and RSVP so we have an accurate count. We will have free alcohol while supplies last.
RULES & REFFING
All Clubwaka league games are officiated by fellow players. Please take a quick moment to go over some helpful tips that will not only help you as a player, but also as a referee.
* Be familiar with the rules. The Official Rules of Kickball can be found here. There's also a very helpful FAQ found online as well.
* Permanent Head Ref Program! Thanks
to a dedicated group of volunteers, most games this season will feature
an experienced head ref. This means the team assigned to reffing duties
need only provide base refs (2 - 1 for 1st base, 1 for 3rd base).
* Don't be afraid to ask questions. Everybody in this league is
willing to help anybody who is willing to ask, even those on the other
team (you don't see that everywhere).
* Be confident, do your best and don't stress. Nobody is perfect.
* We will do our best to fill the home refs for every game.
However, please be prepared to provide one yourself should we not get
enough volunteers, in cases like this, you will need to have 3.
* Home Refs get paid in the form of future credit for any sport
they wish to participate in. If you are interested in being a home ref,
please let Troy know.
Bar/Field Challenges!
* Every week we will have bar and field challenges to earn "social points".
* The team with the most points at the end of the season will get a special prize.
* If you have ideas on what you'd like to do for any bar or field challenge, please feel free to let me (Troy) know.
Common Questions:
When do I get
my t-shirt?
Majority of the shirts
were ordered well before the season started and your captains should
have your shirt for week 1, if not week 2 for sure.
What do I need
for games?
Team T-shirt: Not only will you need it
for games, it gets you access to the sponsor bar specials on game nights.Cleats: HIGHLY recommended, but not required. Metal spikes are NOT allowed.
Last but not least... Sponsors!
I'd like to thank all of our sponsors. Without you, these leagues wouldn't be possible.
