Awesome Week 1. Every game was close - great start to the season!
Take a look at the current standings after Week 1:
Here's the upcoming week 2 match-ups and their reffing assignments :
County Grill - Thank you for everyone who came out to party with us. It was an AWESOME turnout. Let's keep the momentum going. Why? Because they have some great specials and it's always a good time:
Remember to join the ClubWaka Peninsula Kickball Facebook page if you haven't already. A whole bunch of fun and/or informative stuff is shared/posted there. You don't want to miss out.
Here's some shout outs from the page and week 1:
Shoutout to Rey Cruz for making an outstanding diving catch.
The center fielder (Ge'Vonn Young, a.k.a Randy Moss) for Come Juggle made a couple of nice plays including an over the shoulder catch on a bomb that definitely saved a bunch of runs.
Joe Hogg broke our game open with a laser into right-center. One of the best kickers in the league.
Shoutout to Kristin Palmason for celebrating her birthday by making her kickball debut!

In the spirit of what event is going on this week (I think it's the Superbowl), celebrate a Touchdown (scoring a run) with a little dance. Bonus points if you score more than one and incorporate all runners scoring in the dance. Post it to the Facebook group for everyone to enjoy.
BAR CHALLENGE
We have a lot of newcomers this season. Let's take the time to meet them. Reach out and meet someone new (obviously not on your team). Learn at least 2 things about them, take a selfie and post it to the Facebook Group.
Kudos to Leah of Brrrragging Rights for thinking the trash bag I gave her was a prop
Trash Pickup
Nice job everyone. The park looked spotless as I was leaving. Please remember to bring trash bags and to TAKE THE BAG WITH YOU when you leave. County Grill has a dumpster you can throw it into. If you get to the fields and realize you don't have a trash bag - find me. I'll have plenty.
I'll be at the fields all day (I'm playing on Field 1 at noon). Feel free to come say hi to me if you don't know me. I'll be walking around during the 1pm games.
I'll leave you with this:
Sincerely,
Troy / Commish
