Happy Thursday Peninsula Kickballers! Did you know that we have our very own Hampton Relay for Life team, and you can be a part of it? We have already raised over $1200!!! Relay for Life is an annual fundraising event put on by the American Cancer Society. This year it will be taking place on June 3rd at Darling stadium right here in Hampton. Relay is an overnight event where teams camp out around the track and walk throughout the night. Each team is expected to have someone walking at all times. There are fun events planned throughout the evening and into the morning. We would love to have you join us as we fund raise and walk to help in the fight against cancer. If you would like to contribute, but can not join the team there are plenty of other ways you can help. Here are just a few fun and exciting ways to help out your WAKA Relay Team:
- Make a donation to the team by going to http://main.acsevents.org/goto/WAKA
- Buy a WAKA Koozie on a Wednesday night from Andrea Hoffman (CT) or Melissa Rarick (CG)
- Attend the Egg Dash on April 23rd. (See the invite on Facebook)
