"As soon as I came out the womb my momma knew a star was born. Now I'm on the golf course trippin' with the Osbournes. I seen the show with Travis Barker, rockstar mentality I'm jumping in the crowd just to see if they would carry me."

Well a late evening the field for Gossip Girl made for a "quick" night for Bar Buzz (but don't worry, the hangover the next day did not pass nearly as quickly). As a result, we'll only post the top 10 this week. Why? Because we like you.

#10 Jiminy Kick-It: The Crickets, I mean, Kick-it's, put in a fair fight this week showing that they really ARE here and they are force to be reckoned with (by being both seen and heard)

#9 Chubby Gangsters: I'm still not so sure what the CG's would do without AJ Derr and Jeffrey Scott although the rest of the team decided this week that it was important that the league know they still exist in the land of drinking and mingling. Sources tell me that team captain Buster Patterson, has filed official paperwork questioning the validating of the Bar Buzz rankings. But in the meantime, secret footage at Luckies caught him drooling over the belt's gleaming golden haunches. Questioning the validity or jealous of the outcome? You decide. (See Buster weeping for the belt above.)

#8 Moose Knuckles: Somehow those Knuckles keep hanging on to the top ten and in a rankings world where no preceding standards exist, this sort of behavior gives promise for any team that manages to get the belt within its grasp. So far, all of those who have managed to emerge as Bar Buzz champs have stayed in the top ten. Although, MK is teetering awfully close to the edge of falling out.

#8 Foul Balls: Creativity knows no bounds when it comes to the Foul Balls. This week in an effort to replace celebrity judge Wyndy "WAKA Wednesday is my new favorite pastime" Fredrick, the group brought along stand-in Zach Galifianakis (and even convinced him to to leave his pants at home). They also have created a new addition to the Bar Buzz, adding a ceremonial passing of the belt and pounder exchange. Although it wasn't enough for them to win back the belt, the FB's continue to bring a spirit to the bar that is unmatched by others.

#6 RumJagah: And so it seems that once you've one the Bar Buzz belt, it doesn't take much to fall from the top. RumJagah tried valiantly to defend their highly sought after title but were met with fierce competition this week at top five (of course a very late start at the bar didn't help their chances). Perhaps the two will do better in future weeks as this powerful force once again becomes separate entities buzzin' on their own. It is speculated that we can expect this to happen sooner rather than later as it is rumored that the Jagernauts have already begun some intense off -training in preparation for their own domination of the Bar Buzz.

#5 5 O'Clockers: It doesn't look like the Clockers will be leaving the top five any time soon. They have been hooking up with New Kickheads (I'll let you decide if that's a literal or figurative reference.) and the two have become a Bar Buzz powerhouse that few can derail. The real question is, can either of them break into the top two and take the champion seat?

#4 Battlestar Ballsacktica: This truly looks like is a different team than the supper club Bar Buzz mocked a few weeks ago. Mingling, flip cupping, dancing, Andy Tapley appears to have been coaching his team in ways to win both on and off the field and it's really paying off. How long will it be before these troopers take it all the way to the top?

#3 NKOTB: "Oh, oh ohhhh oh. Oh, oh ohhhh oh. Oh oh ohhhh oh. The right. Hanging Tough. Hanging Tough. We're rough." Yeah. that about sums it up for the New Kickheads this week.

#2 Chicken Tetrazzini: Persistence and dedication really brought CT to the top of the rankings this week and although they fell just short of #1 slot, they did manage to successfully cause the first team induced hangover for the author. Tetrazzini really is doing whatever it takes to perfect their game, continuing to show that there is very little that they won't do to win Bar Buzz title.

#1 Off in the Corner: Well what do we have here. It's our own little Cinderella story! Out of the ashes - from the very bottom of our rankings - OitC has arisen victorious. Finally, they've come from out of the corner, out of no where, to beat off everyone for THE Golden Belt (and yes folks, that IS what she said.) Can they keep with this sneak approach and manage to be the very first team to secure the belt two weeks in a row or with the stubbornness of the CT's finally pay off? Stay tuned to Week 5 to find out!

Until next week - Bottom's Up!

  1. The VIPs had our strongest turnout to date, but alas, we've reverted back to our 'supper club' ways. Ah well. Just wait until Keith and I plan a vacation day on a Thursday, with the sole purpose of staying out all night at Luckie's on a Wednesday.
