Last Week of the Fall 2012 Season!

I have a lot to cover, so I'm going to make this as concise as possible.

 

 

First things first though, I want to thank everyone for their understanding over the last couple weeks. I appreciate your patience while mother nature decided we all needed bye weeks to rest our legs. That being said, here are some things you can expect in the last week of the season:

 

 

- November 14th is the last Wednesday night of regular games for the Fall 2012 season. Since the 2 weeks that were rained out affected multiple teams with double headers on different nigts, we had to adjust the schedule to ensure everyone still played the same amount of games. Below is the updated schedule. Please pay attention as some of your times and reffing duties may have changed. Week 11 looks to be filled with a lot of great match-ups!

- November 14th will not only be our last week of regular games, it will also be our last theme week for the season. Since Sunday November 11th is Veteran's Day, we would like to honor those who served this country, past and present, and host AMERICA WEEK both on the field and at the bar. There will be a special musical preformance as well as a dedication to the servicemen & women. I would like to encourage everyone to wear some form of red, white and/or blue. Come out to the field proud of our country and the freedom we have to play a child's game with 300 of your closest American friends!


- Oh and Luckie's will be hosting WAKA-OKE (karaoke) for all kickballers!!

 

 

- This leads us straight into the End of Season Tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday November 17th at War Memorial Stadium. First games will start at 9:00 am with the Championship game being played roughly around 2:30 pm (depending on previous games durations).

 

 

- After the End of Season Tournament, Luckie's Party Bar will be hosting a WAKA Prom Night as our End of Season Party! If you thought your prom was awesome back when you had to sneak in booze under your dress or in your suit pockets... imagine what it's going to be like if drinking is encouraged!

 

 

The party starts at 6:00 pm. There will be kegs provided by WAKA for all players as well as a free appetizer buffet, both while supplies last. Happy Hours will be in place as well: $2 wells and domestic drafts, $3 wines, $4 call drinks, $5 martini menu, and WAKA Bombs are $3 ($4 is you want to make it a Monster).
 

Since it is going to be Prom Night, everyone is encouraged to dress up like you would be going to your Prom. While it is obviously not mandatory, if you decide not to dress up, Luckie's still has a dress code we must respect. No baseball caps, no sports jersies, no sleeveless shirts, etc.
