In case you have missed all of the excitement, we had 3 big nights of partying this week:
- Wednesday - 1st night at our new bar
- Friday - Meet and Greet for Mid-Atlantic Tournament
- Saturday - Post-Tournament/Midseason party
I'm going to try to re-cap them all for you, but I'll be honest, I enjoyed myself a little too much on all 3 nights, so let's see what I can recap.

Wednesday - I LOVE when teams randomly decide that a certain night is their night to come out. It was awesome to see teams like Rumspringa and Cardiac Arrest come out with more than 2 peoples representing their teams. This was a big night for us; after hearing that my beloved Luckies closed, we had to find a new bar! Tapps stepped up to the plate with very short notice and delivered. They had exceptional bar tenders and a great atmosphere. It was all tied together by the Shirt Swap challenge - which is my favvveee. Rumspringa even participated!
So there were a lot of teams who did the team photo - awesome!! For the challenge, every team who I witnessed swapping and posting received a base of 2 points, from there you received an extra point per person who appeared to be doing the challenge. Two teams got 4 points, no one got 5....that's ok, it's not beach season yet right?
Hot Dogs and Tacos - If you had posted your team photo you would have tied for first place!!
Rumspringa - Y'all had the most representation in the #AMP. And I wanted to give the belt to you so badly, but I only saw ONE person swap a shirt...just a little more effort and you would have had it!(Y'all came in second place last week, btw)
KILFs - No team picture and only 2 people in the #AMP? I'll let it slide...maybe.
Pitching Dez - I am still waiting for you to blow my mind one night, maybe tomorrow will be the night?? Jenn and Adam Gold, get your team out there!
Five Toe Death Kick - I'm wondering if we should tone down the sociability...I mean, we do have an unfair advantage with some of the most outgoing people in the league on one team. For the billionth week in a row, 5TDK takes home the belt!
Friday - AWESOME turn out on Friday for the Meet and Greet. Meeting and Greeting with all the teams from the tournament was awesome, and shoutout to the teams from Raleigh! Y'all rock! Once again, Tapps created a great atmosphere and gave us a great party.
Saturday - Cory Pochop once told me I needed to learn to "loosen up" at the bar for kickball. Well if I and the rest of the league didn't do this Saturday, I don't know what happened. This is one of the best parties I think I've been to and it was honestly attributed to the company. We had so many people who brought friends and neighbors who got to see what a great league this was! We had people riding the bull at PBR, people dancing, people playing cornhole, and everyone just seemed to have a great time. I hope that's true because I enjoyed every minute of it! I can't post the videos of the bull riding, but go check it out on Facebook!
Challenge for Tomorrow - I spent a lot of my Saturday night trying to recruit players for upcoming leagues. With Summer Draft, Volleyball, and Dodgeball we have a full schedule! Tomorrow is a photo scavenger hunt! The below points are automatic, but you can get up to the 5 points for more photos you take - you can only get a max of 5 points, but you can do any combo below. Points go to the person who posts the picture to the facebook group!
- 5 points for a picture with someone who is already signed up for all 3 leagues!
- 2 points for a picture with someone who is signed up for Volleyball and Dodgeball
- 2 points for a picture with someone who does not currently play kickball who will sign up for any league.
- 2 points for a picture with 5 people signed up for summer.
Don't worry about the points (I'll calculate them later), just take your photos and mingle away!
