This week we separated the boys from the men, the wallflowers from the socialites, the big dogs from the wiener dogs. And never have the scores been so close. In a week where participation was counted extra, most teams brought their A-game and in the end it completely paid off. However, what really put people over the edge was their participation (or lack there of) in what began as a rivalry and continued into one of the most epic flip cup "tourney's" to date.
#15 Chicken Tetrazzini & Off in the Corner: It is rumored these teams (along with most of the Chubby Gangsters) were representing well at a unauthorized establishment. However nothing can be confirmed officially by our GMOT reporters. While we applaud your spirit, we cannot endorse any behavior that distracts us from the mission - the mission to become the most epic kickball league worldwide;. And to do this my friends, we must stick together 'ballas!
#13 Chubby Gangster
#12 Jiminy Kick-It: ...cricket, cricket, cricket...
#11 Moose Knuckles: What has happened to our very first Bar Buzz Champs? Have they worn their britches too tight, too soon and worn themselves out? One thing's for sure, nothing's the same without their flurry of burgundy surrounding the bar.
#10 Saved by the Balls: Things just aren't the same at Bayside without the Hund clan, but Saved by the Balls still managed to hold their own without their fearless leader (and iron liver) in tow. Perhaps next week Allison and Jon will be back, and The Sprain will over take The Cupid Shuffle and Apache in meaningless group dances.
#9 Emperor's Club: Although they overcame their great VD nemesis, this was the Emperor's Club poorest showing to date. Again, I ask - is there anyone that can win #1 at the field and at the bar?
#8 Vicious and Delicious: Some people argue that the best nights at the bar come after you've lost a valiantly fought battle on t
he field. And VD's record this week supports that notion. They showed up in full force this week and stayed until the wee hours of the morning, showing us all better than an after-school special that you never should underestimate the full impact of VD's.

#6 Just for Kicks: JFK was actually the second group at the bar this week, and showed up in full force. Thanks once again to social captain, Ashley Williams who sacrificed her early morning plans (which included flying Texas) carried her team to higher rankings by participating in flip cup and ensuring their presence was known throughout the bar.
#5 Battlestar Ballsacktica: Fearing they would forever be known as the Supper Club (which really is much like a glorified Book Club without the wine), BB took a few tips from the Bar Buzz and stepped their game all the way up to the top five. This is pretty impressive following the wins they've had on the field. Could they be the ones to take #1 on the field AND at the bar? Stay tuned... because only time will tell!
#4 5 O'Clockers: It was definitely 5 o'clock all night at Luckies' this week. Unfortunately for the 'Clockers they were facing some stiff competition in the top three. Participation in the flip cup tourney could have gotten them ahead but irregardlessly (yes I just made up that word), I am confident it will always be 5 o'clock in the top three from here on out.

#1 Jagernauts & Rumspringa: (aka RUM-JAGAH!) O
The Alliance! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSee all of you Jagers at 8:30, going to be a heck of a game.
Great job, as always, Trici!!!!
ReplyDeleteI second what Matt said...cant wait. #1's baby!
ReplyDeleteWhile I am breaking Foul Balls corporate policy by going around our official Public Relations Rep., I think I speak for the team in offering a hearty congrats to the new Bar Buzz champs...please join us for an on-field passing of the belt (imagine the Olympic Opening Ceremonies with less goofy outfits).
ReplyDeleteIt is (of all of you) but it makes me laugh every time! I feel like it sort of sums up the night. HAHA.
