HAMPTON, VA - The Vegas odds makers had the Rumspringa vs. Free Ballin' as a pick 'em heading into Wednesday nights' 6:30 showdown. These teams, on paper, are very evenly matched, but Free Ballin' seems to have one significant edge.

Mark Flores.

In the first inning, the speedy top of the Rumspringa lineup managed to load the bases, but was unable to get any runs across. The kickers just weren't able to connect against the All-Peninsula pitcher for Free Ballin'.

The 'Springa defense was stout as well, with Geoff Morehart and Mike Ramey sharing the duties on the mound. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 3rd, when Shane Neilson scored to put Ballin' up 1-0. In the 4th inning, the Free Ballin' attack would continue. Alyssa Stoner, David "D-Bizzle" Baum, Frank Council, and Dave Chappell combined to drive in a few more runs.

Despite being down 3 runs and struggling all day against Flores, Rumspringa did not roll over. In the 5th inning, the top of the lineup came back up and once again loaded the bases with 1 out. Morehart kicked a rocket straight to Ch Frank Council who could not handle it cleanly. 3B Danielle "Deej" Snier caught the ball off the deflection however, and quickly tossed it back to Council. Ricky Holmes was caught in no mans land, as he was running towards home on contact. Council applied the tag for the game ending double play.
