Free Ballin vs. Situation Week 4 Recap

It’s always hard to get up for a league game a few days after a big tournament, but this game had the makings for a great game between Free Ballin and Situation. Free Ballin is a squad led by one of the most feared pitchers in Hampton Roads, Mark Flores, who also plays for Pop Pop. Free Ballin has multiple others who travel for tournaments, making them a very dangerous squad.

Unfortunately, Flores was MIA, and Situation was able to capitalize in the top of the 1st inning. They loaded the bases with solid bunts by Kyle Lewis, Jeremy, Edge, and John LaNeave. A few sacrifice kicks later and Sitch takes a 4-0 early lead.

Led by Blake Kalaikai on the mound, Sitch was able to shut down the top of Free Ballin’s lineup in the bottom of the 1st.

Sitch added to their lead in the top of the 3rd, tacking on an additional 3 runs with solid bunts by the bottom of their order and well placed kicks by Lewis and Edge. Free Ballin countered with a run of its own and game entered the 5th inning with Sitch leading 7-1.

Sitch got sloppy in the bottom of the 5th dropping a ball, then misjudging a deep ball by David “D-Bizzle” Baum than ended up as a two-run homerun. Sitch was able to get out of the inning with a 7-3 win.

  1. I heard there were lots more exciting things that happened during this game! Give the people what they want. We want drama, we want anger, we want lewd acts!
