Hi, Volleyballers! It’s almost game time! First off, thank you so much for signing up for this weekend’s Charity Beach Volleyball event. We have 20 teams and over 120 volleyballers playing to benefit the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank!

SCHEDULE
The schedule is online and can be located on this Google doc. As scores are recorded, the standings will be updated in real time and can be viewed on the 'Standings' tab.- Each team is scheduled for four 'pool play' matches. Pool Play consists of a single game played to 25 points (must win by 2).
- The top 8-teams after pool play will advance to a single elimination tournament to determine the champions. Teams that are eliminated are welcome to stick around and play on the open courts or just enjoy a day at the beach!
- The elimination matches will best 2 out of 3 games. Games 1&2 are played until 21. Game 3 (if needed) is played to 15. You must win by 2 points.
CHECK-IN
The games begin at 9 AM, but please arrive early to check-in and receive your tank/shirt and goodie bag. Players can arrive as early as 8:15a and check-in will be on the pavilion. Thank you to The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank for providing volunteers to staff the check-in table.
PARADISE OCEAN CLUB POLICIES
Paradise Ocean Club has once again been gracious enough to host our annual charity tournament. They do have a few guidelines that we must follow.- Outside Alcohol is prohibited. The bar will open at 11 and drinks will be available for purchase at that point.
- Sports Drinks are not prohibited. Water is allowed. We will also have large coolers of ice water on the pavilion. It is encouraged to bring a water bottle to fill.
- Please avoid bringing large coolers.
- Upon opening to the public, wristbands will be required, so be sure to check-in with security during the lunch break and present your ID to get a band.
RAFFLES
We have some wonderful prizes being raffled off on Saturday including 2 $50 Gift Certificates from CLUBWAKA, Passes to GoApe Williamsburg, a Starbucks gift basket and Sly Clyde Ciders! For every non-perishable food item you bring, you will receive an entry to the drawing. Tickets can also be purchased for $2 or 3 for $5. Don't forget to raid your pantry or head to the grocery store before Saturday. Let's restock the Foodbank pantries!!You must be on-site to win. Tickets will be drawn following pool play.
MEDICAL ATTENTION
We hope everyone has a fun and safe tournament. If an accident does happen, we do have an athletic trainer on site courtesy of Tidewater Orthopedics. If you need help, be sure to visit the pavilion and the trainer will be there to assist.
