Monday Night Kickball - Is It Really Week 2?

What a week, or half week if we're being accurate. Unfortunately rain interrupted the late games, but on the plus side $5 pitchers at Bucketheads started flowing earlier than normal. Rain wasn't the only obstacle for opening week. First games with the new kick away rules, a delayed t-shirt order, and even a lack of lines as Parks and Rec had a special softball tournament on tap.

While the forecast is looking better this week the t-shirt situation isn't. We recently got a new regional t-shirt vendor and there have been a few issues. Captains have been briefed but I'll give a little bit of an update here. By now everyone knows the first shipment of shirts arrived late on Monday after the games. However, this shipment didn't even have all the shirts! The second order of shirts was placed a week ago and I still haven't received any shipping information. Likewise, no shipping information on the missing shirts from the first order either. I'm working to get this resolved as quick as I can. In the interim please try to wear your team's color if at all possible. 😓

Have you joined our Facebook Group yet?

Welcome to Monday Night Kickball - Spring 2019

Clocks already jumped forward an hour and flowers are blooming. That can only mean one thing, Monday Night Kickball is back for the Spring season!

We'll have seven teams this Spring. Some old, some new, and some reforming.

After seeing that picture you might be asking yourself, "When do I get my very own stunningly fashionable CLUBWAKA  t-shirt?
The bar logo t-shirts have already arrived. Everyone who was on a team and signed up early enough will get one of those. The bulk of the standard t-shirts (everyone who was on a team by last Monday) will have theirs arrive this Monday. I'll be waiting until the last minute to make it to the fields so hopefully I'll have them arrive at my door before I have to leave. If you signed up late or were placed on team after last Monday I'll have your shirts next week.

We play at Bayville Farms Park and our games start promptly at 6:30pm and 7:30pm. Make sure to park near the ball fields, tennis courts, or basketball courts. Do NOT park in the wooded parking area as that gate closes earlier than the rest of the park. General park guidelines include use of red solo cups and koozies for your favorite beverages, utilizing proper trash receptacles, and obeying posted signs about no dogs on the field. The park has been pretty stringent regarding dogs the past couple seasons. We'll be playing our games on the "Lot" and "Swamp" fields marked below. Most of you are used to my hand painted lines however, we'll be without them for the early part of the season as the park staff has requested no additional lines be painted while they have tournaments going on early this month.

What do I need for games?
Team t-shirt. Not only will you need it for games, it gets you access to the sponsor bar specials on game nights. Beverage of choice. Many players bring water to drink as the weather warms up, others bring...not-water. Cleats are HIGHLY recommended, but not required. Metal spikes are NOT allowed.

Do you do anything besides just play kickball?
Of course! In addition to our games we have a full schedule of social activities including weekly bar games, theme nights, and photo challenges. Ella will once again be back as the social coordinator and making sure we have more things to do other than just play kickball. If you like Game of Thrones don't forget about our watch party on Sundays during the final season.

The season webpage is your go-to location to find everything from rules and schedules to social media links. If you only bookmark one page, make it this one.
https://www.clubwaka.com/hampton-roads/kickball/monday/603

Our Facebook group is where all the fun stuff happens and the most immediate information is available including announcements on special events and weather cancellations. Weather cancellations are also announced by a league email broadcast.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/CLUBWAKA.VirginiaBeach/

So where do I go after games are over?
You most definitely want to head to our sponsor bar Bucketheads after the games. Awesome specials, live music, karaoke, and of course bar games. It's right down the road just minutes away!

Can you really argue with specials like half off burgers, $5 Bud Light pitchers, $4 Narragansett pitchers, and more? I know I'll be there every night.

Rules, Rule Changes, and Referees
As with any sport, rules are important and can often be hard to call on-the-fly in the middle of a game. I recommend everyone read the rules at least once. As it turns out, disagreement over a call in the game is often due to someone not being familiar with the rules. The other times come from close or missed calls by a referee. It's important to remember that referees are only human and even professional referees make mistakes (anyone remember that Saints/Rams game?). Let your captain handle any discussion with the referee and remember that you could very easily be the referee in the next game.

On the subject of rules we have a few changes for 2019.
  1. Increase from 5 innings to 7 innings, games still have a hard time limit. Each game needs to be completed within it's hour block 6:30-7:30pm and 7:30-8:30pm.
  2. Foul count reduced from 4 to 3. A kicker is now out on the 3rd foul ball.
  3. Players in the field reduced from 11 to 10, minimum 4 of each gender.
  4. Kicks made by guys have to reach the 1st/3rd diagonal (encroachment line). However, the defense is allowed to play the ball if they wish. The head ref should call a foul/dead ball when the ball has stopped moving and didn't reach the 1st/3rd diagonal.
Important Information
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please don't hesitate to approach me at the field, message me on Facebook, or send an email.

VA Shore Summer 2018 Draft Opening Week

Following up his mock draft, Will Menzies provided a pre-season analysis of each team.

  1. 2 Girls 1 Base:  Hands down, the most talented offensive team this season. Their lineup is LOADED. Ryan & Emily managed to get 5 of the projected top 10 picks on their team (including the #1 overall, Davin Field), plus a huge leg in Kevin Stocks thrown in for good measure. Tom Zuppke was an absolute steal in the 5th round. Defensively, Kevin is a dominant pitcher, Davin will control whatever area of the field he plays (catcher or charger), and Eddie Lopez and/or Tom will likely fill in the rest of the infield triangle. Ryan is an experienced and knowledgeable captain, and he’ll be sure to optimize the talent he has on the roster.
  2. Bad News Pandas:  Ella and Pete have both captained teams before, and they’ve both been playing for a while, so this is nothing new to them. Unfortunately, they were both apparently smoking crack when they drafted Will Menzies in the 1st round. The good news is that they managed to pick up Tom Patrick, Eddie Woodhouse, and a very talented rookie (Oraine King) in the next few rounds. Ashley Hoffman and Janessa Johnson were probably the #1 and #2 steals of the draft for ladies here. It’ll be interesting to see how the Pandas gel together this season.
  3. Finna:  Travis and Nicole are definitely the two most talented captains in the league this season. Building on that advantage, they managed to pick up the best lead off kicker in the pool (Ricky Chavis), the best female (Amanda LeRoy), a dominant catcher/charger/cleanup kicker (JJ a.k.a. James Joseph Griffin), and an experienced and versatile player (James Loriol) in the first 4 rounds of the draft. It’ll be interesting to see where they go on defense, but I’m guessing: Travis pitching, JJ charging, Ricky catching, and James Loriol on 1st. Either way, and as with all draft teams, the rookies and unknown players will make or break this team. The top 4 picks are only 4 players...it takes an entire team to win games.
  4. KPMG:  The “corporate team” that stuck together and did not participate in the draft. Not much is known about this team. They’ll be at a disadvantage, lacking the experienced players that the other 4 teams have. They likely have unknown talent, but the learning curve is steep, and they’ll be facing tough infield competition every single week.
  5. Victorious Secret:  Building upon their Spring season success, James Maurmeier and Laura Wersosky have brought Victorious Secret to the draft league. They made a solid 1st round pick in Brian Williams and scooped up a big leg with John Vacinski in the 3rd round. James and Laura seemed to stick with players they know well, picking up Chad Donnell, Christine Lee, Anthony Pinto, and James’ brother Gene Maurmeier. They should have good team chemistry. We’ll see how well it translates to success on the field.

Opening Week Schedule

  • 6:30pm (2G1B Reffing)

    • Swamp Field:  KPMG vs Victorious Secret

VA Shore Summer 2018 Draft Preview

I'd say here we go again but this is actually the FIRST draft league for the Southside (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake). Stemming from the success of the Peninsula draft league it was time to bring this unique experience to Virginia Beach. We came down to the wire squeezing the 5th team in but we got it done less than a day before the draft is going down!

Mock Draft

Will Menzies was kind enough to provide a mock draft top 10...

  1. Davin Field:  Absolutely no reason this man shouldn’t be the number 1 overall pick. Complete 5 tool player: defense anywhere on the field, ridiculous speed, monstrous leg, knowledge of the game, and an overall great guy.
  2. JJ:  1st rounder for sure. The dude is an animal at any position you put him in, but his competitiveness sets him apart. I already lost count of the number of championships this guy has won. Quick reflexes, strong arm, solid leg. You can’t go wrong picking JJ up in the 1st round.
  3. Brian Williams:  He’s been out of the game for awhile with an ankle injury, but he’s finally back! Former D1 college basketball player, a lefty, and an overall great teammate. On defense, the guy can play catcher, charger, etc. He might not be the best bunter in the game, but he has the speed to get on base, and the leg to kick some solid line drives.
  4. Amanda Leroy:  Best female in the draft, hands down. This girl can do it all. Bunt, kick, play infield, play outfield, etc. Plus she’s an awesome teammate. You’ll regret not picking her.
  5. Tom Patrick:  Hopefully this guy is still available in the 2nd round for you. Unfortunately, he probably won’t be. Big kicking lefty, solid pitcher, solid first baseman, good catcher, good all around knowledge of the game, and a good guy to hang out with. You can’t go wrong picking up Tom. The man has won multiple championships in multiple leagues, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
  6. Tom Zuppke:  I just met Tom recently. He looks good and he knows lots of people. Draft him.
  7. Heriberto "Eddie" Lopez:  The man is a champion. His very presence on your roster basically quadruples your chance of winning a trophy. He’s won numerous kickball championships across Hampton Roads, along with trophies in other CLUBWAKA sports. He’s one of the nicest guys in the world, as long as you’re not pitching against him. If you are...sorry bro, he’s going to absolutely crush whatever you throw at him.
  8. John Vicinski:  Fresh off the heels of an Atlantic championship with Bed Bath & Your Mom! Don’t sleep on this guy. Absolutely monstrous leg. He played Rugby for Virginia Tech, and has a few seasons of kickball under his belt. If you’re looking for a #4 or #5 kicker in your lineup, this is your man.
  9. Ryan Kiel:  He runs this show. Very knowledgeable of the game, good team player, good pitcher, dangerous kicker, and he will score you deals on drinks at Bucketheads.
  10. Sterling Wilcox:  Haven’t seen much of her around the kickball fields lately, but last time I checked, this girl can ball. She’s a better pitcher than most of the guys around here, and she can play any other position that you need her in. Don’t wait too long to start drafting ladies, because Sterling will be gone before you know it, and you’ll wish you’d picked her up.

Pretty solid rundown but it's got one definite error...Will didn't place himself on the list! Will easily cracks the top 10 list for the draft this summer and I'm willing to bet a pitcher of beer on it. That said the best part about the draft is the unknown players who sneak up on everyone and become mid to late round steals! I know those devious captains are tucking away a few names they think they'll be able to pick up late.

Speaking of Captains

Just who are the captains for the draft?

The first ones to get a team spot were Travis Bryant and Nicole Dewey. They'll be captaining Finna and wearing carolina blue shirts. Travis and Nicole have a ton of experience, a ton of skill, and are great to be around. You can bet they've already got every player in the draft ranked that they know.

The second group of captains are Pete Langlands and Ella Pierce. They'll be heading up Bad News Pandas and wearing white shirts. While both are newer captains they both bring captaining experience from different teams! They've also been playing quite a while in the Atlantic and Shore leagues so you know they have a bit of a home field advantage.

The third group of captains are James Maurmeier and Laura Wersosky. They'll be leading Victorious Secret and wearing heliconia (hot pink). They both were brand new captains this spring but they learned a lot and had success despite rostering a brand new free agent team. That experience will pay dividends for them in the draft where they'll once again be seeing a lot of new players.

The fourth group of captains is still TBD. What I can tell you is that I've been bartering, begging, and pleading the last 48 hours in an attempt to secure the final set of captains. Work conflicts with the draft have nixed a few options but they'll be announced later today just in time for the lottery selection in the draft.

Draft Lottery

First pick in the draft will be determined on draft day with the captains selecting numbered ping pong balls. Make sure you're there to see the disappointment when they don't get that #1 ball!

Don't miss the live action!

That's right, the draft is live at Bucketheads later today (and yes I'm typing this up at 2am in the morning). If you're registered for the draft check in to get your wristband and that will get you access to the free keg. Everyone will be able to get $1 beef and $2 chicken tacos. The draft is a great time to meet your brand new team and have a fun time.

VA Atlantic Spring 2018 Playoff Preview

Playoff Preview
When April finally turns into June that can mean only one thing...the end of the spring season for Monday Night Kickball. However, we're not about to let the season fade away and that means a single elimination, winner-take-all playoffs. For the teams on the top of the standings they've been waiting for this moment every week, a chance to get their name on the Neptune Cup. For everyone else they've been building and improving all season and now have dreams of playing the spoiler role and making that run to the championship game.

(1) Bed Bath & Your Mom (BBYM)
BBYM has been on a tear. Driven by the haunting memory of falling short in the finals the last three seasons they've focused even more this spring and finished with the best record at 7-0-1. They've lost the last three consecutive championship games by margins of 2-11, 3-7, and 6-8. Is this all just steady progression? Is this the year they finally break through or will it be another heartbreaking loss?

(2) Elite Kickball Status (Elite)
Nemesis, arch-rival, or kryptonite? Every time BBYM has been poised to take the next step Elite has been standing in the way. This season however Elite finished as the #2 seed at 6-1-1 with a loss and a tie to BBYM. Despite the seed Elite is once again primed to make their playoff run with a talent-filled roster and they always know how to flip the switch in the playoffs. Will Elite become the first three time champion of Monday Night Kickball?

(3) Fusion
Flying under the radar is Fusion. Seeing an infusion of new players, Fusion has coasted to a #3 seed with only close losses to BBYM and Elite. The most surprising stat on Fusion this season is a league-best 11 RA. Have they improved enough from the early season losses to challenge BBYM and Elite?

(4) Just More Trouble (JMT)
Coming in at the #4 seed is the brand new corporate team JMT. After a slow start to the season JMT has drastically improved with just a couple runs keeping them below .500 for the season. Their record doesn't reflect their strength at the end of the season and any team sleeping on them in the playoffs will pay the price. Will JMT take the next step in the playoffs and make a deep run?

(5) Victorious Secret (VS)
Dropping due to a forfeit, VS enters the playoffs with something to prove. They'll get the chance with an opening round match-up against the team that moved ahead of them due to that forfeit...JMT. For VS the biggest question they'll face is if they have their full roster available on game day. A full roster is a night and day difference for VS. Who will show up this Monday, Jeckyll or Hyde?

(6) Groundworks Grasshoppers
Similar to our other corporate team, the they have been improving all season. It's often hard to see as the progress is gradual but growth is always the greatest in first time players. The playoffs is a chance for Groundworks to see just how far they've come since the season started. Will Groundworks hop into the second round or out of the playoffs in an early exit?

(7) Bibbidi Bobbidi Balls (Balls)
Finishing the season in last place is the lime enigma. On a good day they show signs of being ready to break through, but then they're derailed by forfeits. With more consistency this team had a legitimate shot at competing in the middle of pack. What do the playoffs hold for Balls? Will they pull it together in time for a run through the brackets?

Social Stuff
Don't forget to take a playoff team photo!
Photos and Videos from this season.

Is there anything different about the playoffs?
1) Higher seed gets to pick Home or Away (no Rock, Paper, Scissors)
2) Automatic mercy rule (ahead by 12+ runs after 3 innings)
3) "Kansas City" overtime rules for tied games. We'll cover this with captains if it's needed but the short version is your last kicker from the previous inning starts on 2B.
4) 3rd out improper positioning. If you have a runner step off base to get the 3rd out it doesn't preserve the kicking order. The kicker at the plate is skipped next inning.

End of Season Party
While the playoffs end the season that doesn't mean the end to CLUBWAKA fun. Less than a week away is the End of Season party. Free food and beer so definitely make sure you leave your Saturday evening open. Party kicks off at 6pm on 23-Jun, check out all the details and RSVP on the Facebook event.

About Those Rules

A re-run from the summer season on a common fair/foul scenario...

This week's rule topic is playing a ball on the foul lines. What is the call if someone is in fair territory and touches a ball before it lands in foul territory? What if someone is in foul territory and reaches out to touch a ball in fair territory?

Rule 1.04: Any player or Referee wholly or partly in fair territory is an extension of fair territory. Any live base runner outside the kicking box is fair, even when wholly in foul territory. A player jumping from fair territory is in fair territory while in the air. A player in foul territory does not extend foul territory by jumping or reaching into fair territory.

13.02 A foul ball is:
b. a kicked ball first touching a fielder or Referee wholly in foul territory, while the ball is over foul territory (see Rule 1.04)

13.03 A fair ball is:
c. a kicked ball first touching a player or Referee in fair territory (see Rule 1.04)
d. a kicked ball landing in fair territory, then touched by a participant in fair territory before touching the ground in foul territory (see Rule 1.04)

---------------------

That's a lot to process so let's break it down. First, any player or referee even partially in fair territory is an extension of fair territory. Have even one toe in fair territory and reach out and touch a ball in the air in foul territory...FAIR ball. On the other hand, there is no extension of foul territory by a player reaching into fair territory. Big picture, if the ball is in fair territory you're always calling the position of the ball to determine fair or foul. If the ball is in foul territory you must take the player's position into consideration. There is one other unique situation that can come up. What if a player is in the air and knocks a ball in foul territory down into fair territory? Again, it depends on the player positioning as "a player jumping from fair territory is in fair territory while in the air". However, they must have been in the air before leaving fair territory.

    About Those Rules

    What is the base path and what happens when a runner is outside of it?

    Rule 10.01 Runners must stay within the baseline. Any runner outside the baseline is out (see Rule 14.02k):
    a. Runners may choose their path from one base to the next, and may follow a natural running arc;
    b. Runners are free to change course to avoid interference with a fielder making a play;
    c. When attempting to avoid a ball tag, runners may move no more than 4 feet out of their established path.

    --------------------
    This one is mostly straight forward. The runner is allowed to make a natural arcing path while running the bases and this does not cause an out. What can cause an out is the runner deviating more than 4 feet from their "natural arcing path" while attempting to avoid a tag or dodge a ball.

    VA Atlantic Kickball - Fall 2017 - Week 5

    News

    This past week marked the halfway point of the season! Each team has played every other team at least once by this point and round two of the round-robin regular season play has started. The standings are starting to sort themselves out as teams get more familiar with each other. The next couple weeks will be key for playoff seeding.

    Fusion leads the charge with a week five win and continues their streak.

    About Those Rules

    Base running and overthrows into foul territory. Or, the "Hands Up Rule".

    Rule 10.07 Base Running on Overthrows;
    a. an overthrow is a ball thrown, kicked, or deflected into foul territory while making a defensive play toward a player or base;
    b. a runner may advance only one base beyond the base the runner is on or running toward when the ball travels into foul territory;
    c. one base on an overthrow is a restriction on the runner – not an automatic right for the runner to advance;
    d. if any fielder attempts to make an out prior to returning the ball to the pitcher, runners may commence base running.

    --------------------
    A lot to process as this is one of the most variable and difficult situations to call as a referee.

    First, to qualify an overthrow has to go into foul territory while making a play toward a player or base. This could take place at 1B, 3B, or Home. (Rule 10.07a)

    Second, the extra base on an overthrow is not an automatic right. (Rule 10.07b)

    Third, the runner may only advance one base past the base they are on or running towards. An example would be a runner headed to 1B and an overthrow happens. If the runner hasn't already started towards 2B then 2B would be the farthest they could run (one base past the base they were on). In the same scenario, let's say a runner on 1B was headed to 2B. The overthrow happens the moment before they reached 2B so they could advance to 3B (one base past the base they were running towards). (Rule 10.07c)

    The reason the term "Hands Up" is used, is because players putting their hands up signifies there is no intent to make a play at a player or base. However, putting your hands up is not a requirement. In order to keep the overthrow rule in effect all players have to do is NOT play the ball at a player or base in an attempt to get an out. A player that runs after the ball and gets it back to the pitcher while ignoring the runners doesn't negate the overthrow rule. (Rule 10.07d)

    On the flip side, the instant any attempt is made to get a runner out the overthrow rule is no longer in effect and players can still keep running. (Rule 10.07d)

    About Those Rules

    The left and right sides of the strike zone are easy to understand but what about a pitch's height?

    Rule 12.02 A ball is:
    a. a pitch outside of the strike zone as judged by the Referee where a kick is not attempted (see Rule 1.02);
    b. a pitched ball that does not touch the ground at least twice or roll before reaching the kicking box;
    c. a pitched ball that exceeds one foot in height from the bottom of the ball as it enters the kicking box;
    d. a pitched ball that exceeds one foot in height from the bottom of the ball at any time while passing through the kicking box, prior to reaching the kicker;
    e. a pitched ball that is higher than one foot at the plate.

    --------------------
    The key here is the one foot height limit from the bottom of the ball. If it enters the kicking box above that, or is above that before it reaches the kicker, then the pitch is a ball.

    About Those Rules

    What happens when the first baseman and the runner headed to first run into each other, or have to avoid a collision? Is the runner safe? Is the runner out? Is it interference? And if so who is it on?

    Rule 1.06 Optional Extra Base: When available, an additional base may be set up adjacent to First Base to provide more room for the runner (see Diagram 5).
    If an Extra Base is used:
    a. The Extra Base is only available for runners traveling from home plate (see Rule 10.06);
    b. Fielders trying to make an out on first base must touch the base in fair territory (the First Base). Runners hindered by a fielder touching the base in foul territory (the Extra Base), will be safe;
    f. The Runner is permitted to use the First Base if avoiding collision with a fielder in foul territory. In this event, the fielder in foul territory is permitted to tag the Extra Base (see Rule 14.02o);
    g. The runner may use First Base if attempting to advance to Second Base, or if there is no fielder on First Base. A runner (see Rule 1.06a) using or touching First Base in any other circumstance is out.

    Rule 10.02 Obstruction. Fielders may be within the baseline when doing so is necessary to make an active play on the ball, but must otherwise stay out of the baseline. Runners hindered by any fielder within the baseline, not making an active play for the ball, shall be safe at the base to which they were running. Runners may choose to advance beyond this base while the ball is still in play.

    --------------------
    Let's start by looking at which bases the runner and defense are allowed to use. Big picture is that the safety bag is for the runner only and first base for the fielder. The fielder can only use the safety bag to get an out in one very specific circumstance, if the runner switches to first base to avoid a defender in foul territory over the safety base. If the fielder tags the safety base instead of first base the runner is safe. The runner can only use first base if there is no fielder present or if they are advancing to second base. If the runner uses first base in any other situation they are out.

    However, obstruction/interference can complicate the call. Any time a fielder is in the way of the runner and not making an active play on the ball it is obstruction and the runner is safe. However, for example if the fielder is attempting to catch a ball at first base and is pulled across into the runner's path this is not obstruction. There is one nuance to this ruling though. If you look at Rule 1.06b it states that any runner hindered by a fielder touching the safety base is safe.

    About Those Rules

    When the third out occurs in an inning does the run count?

    Rule 10.09 A run scores when a runner touches home plate before the third out is made, EXCEPT that no run can score when the third out is made during a force play situation, or when the kicker is put out before touching first base. At the end of a game the team with the most runs wins.

    First, any potential run must cross the plate before the out happens. Simple situations such as getting the kicker out is also easy to rule on. However, when you have multiple runners it can get complicated when trying to read through the rule.

    Brent Wentworth was able to provide a clean summary of the rule. "Run doesn't score if all of the forced runners don't make it to their base even if the run crosses first."

    About Those Rules

    How long must a game be played to count?

    There are a few rules and one policy concerning games.

    Rule 7.01 Regulation games last five (5) innings.
    a. In the event of a tie score at the end of the game, the game shall be marked as a tie.
    b. If the Home team (see Rule 5.01) already leads the game when the bottom of the final inning is reached, that team wins the game instantly and the game is over.
    c. If the Home team (see Rule 5.01) takes the lead during the bottom of the final inning, that team wins instantly and the game is over.

    This one is easy, everyone knows a game that goes the full five innings counts.

    Rule 7.02 A game that is called off by the Referee (see Rules 3.03, 3.04) after three (3) full innings of play shall be considered a regulation game. The game score at the end of the last full inning shall determine the winner. Regulation games called off that end in a tie shall be marked as a tie.
    Rule 7.03 A game that is called off by the Referee for any reason before three (3) full innings of play shall not be considered a regulation game and a new game may be rescheduled.

    We typically see these rules come into play with bad weather. The cutoff is three full innings. If you complete three innings the game counts, if not then it doesn't.

    Policy Mercy Rule (Kickball)
    Any game may be ended at the discretion of the losing team, if losing by 12 or more runs at the end of any inning. This will be marked as a regulation game.

    The key point here is that this rule isn't automatic in regular season play. The losing team has to agree to utilize the Mercy Rule.

    While many people are returning we also have a lot of new players well. Make sure you arrive in plenty of time to get your team shirt from your captain and meet your team. Early games start at 6:30pm so I recommend arriving by 6:00pm.

      Elite Kickball Status (Elite)
      Fusion

      Suck My Kick (Suck)

    Common Questions:

    1. When do I get my t-shirt?
    Unless you signed up last minute your t-shirt will be at the field for the first week of games. If you were a last minute signup try to wear your team's shirt color the first week just in case your shirt won't arrive until the second week.

    2. What do I need for games?
    Just make sure to wear your team t-shirt. Not only will you need it for games, it's your key to get access to the sponsor bar specials on our game nights.

    3. Is there anything else I need?
    Cleats are HIGHLY recommended, but metal spikes are NOT allowed.

    4. Where can I keep track of the schedule and standings?
    The season webpage is a central hub for everything you need to know including the schedule and standings.

    5. Where can I keep up to date on everything happening with the league?
    Our Facebook group is the quickest way to stay up to date however anything vital will also be duplicated by email.
